be動詞の基本（過去形）
be動詞の過去形は「〜でした」「〜にいました」という意味を表します。主語によって形が変わります。

肯定文の作り方（過去形）
be動詞の過去形の肯定文は、主語 + was/were + 〜 の順番で作ります。
基本パターン：
① 主語 + was/were + 名詞（〜は…でした）
② 主語 + was/were + 形容詞（〜は…でした）
③ 主語 + was/were + 場所（〜は…にいました）
I was a student.
私は学生でした。（名詞）
She was kind.
彼女は親切でした。（形容詞）
They were in the park.
彼らは公園にいました。（場所）
My father was a doctor.

否定文の作り方（過去形）
be動詞の過去形の否定文は、was/were の後ろに not を入れるだけです。

短縮形：
・was not → wasn’t
・were not → weren’t

be動詞の過去形の疑問文は、was/were を文の最初に出すだけです。

・Yes, 主語 + was/were.（はい、そうでした）
